At House Therm Store, we provide via a reputable insurance company that covers shipping insurance to ensure your heating products arrive safely and in perfect condition. This Insurance Policy explains what is covered, what is not, and how to file a claim.


1. What Our Insurance Covers

All orders shipped from House Therm Store include  shipping insurance

This insurance covers:

Lost Packages

If the carrier confirms your package was lost in transit, you may receive:

  • A replacement product

  • Or a full refund

Damaged Shipments

If your item arrives damaged due to handling during shipping, insurance may cover:

  • A replacement

  • A partial refund

  • A full refund (depending on severity)

Missing Items

If your shipment arrives incomplete and verified by carrier documentation, we will replace the missing items at no cost.


2. What Insurance Does NOT Cover

Shipping insurance does not cover:

  • Damage caused after delivery (drops, mishandling, installation errors)

  • Damage from improper unboxing or storage

  • Theft after the package is marked “Delivered”

  • Damage due to incorrect address provided by the customer

  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications

For porch theft protection, you may need a third-party package insurance service (e.g., Route or UPS Capital).


3. Filing an Insurance Claim

To submit an insurance claim, email contact@housethermstore.com within 7 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number

  • Photos of the damaged product

  • Photos of the packaging (inside & outside)

  • A description of the issue

  • Tracking number

For lost packages, please contact us once tracking has shown no movement for 7+ days or is marked lost by the carrier.

Do not discard packaging until the claim is resolved. Carriers often require it for inspection.


4. Claim Resolution

Most claims are resolved within 3–7 business days, depending on the carrier.

Possible resolutions include:

  • Replacement shipment

  • Partial refund

  • Full refund

  • Store credit

Resolutions depend on the carrier’s insurance determination.


5. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure smooth processing:

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate shipping information at checkout

  • Inspect the package upon delivery

  • Report damage or issues promptly

  • Provide required photos and documentation

Failure to notify us within the claim window may result in denial of coverage.
